After building a successful distribution start up in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, we decided to go at it on our own. We took all that we learned, (the good and the bad) made some adjustments, and here we are! We know the path to take and how to get there, but we’d like to enjoy it along the way.

We took our time to identify unique programs we could bring to the Texas marketplace. Every product we offer had to satisfy an expected pedigree to be in our portfolio. Because not every local product is “the best”, local doesn’t always mean high quality. We also wanted to bridge the divide between consumers and the amazing products being grown and raised right in their “back yards”.

We sourced products that we could be passionate about and introduce new supply channels to our ranch and farm partners. We’ve always had a vision of bringing quality local products into every home and restaurant.


Erica Kirk
Cofounder, Whip Cracker

Our co-founders met each other back in 2010, Josh a restaurant manager and Erica his liquor rep with a local distributor. 14 years in the service industry and 3 children later, Erica switched gears and became a franchisee and personal trainer with Camp Gladiator, an outdoor group fitness company out of Austin. Her passion for fitness and nutrition feeds into their mission of only offering the highest quality proteins.

Josh Kirk
Cofounder, Meat Guy

After many years in some of Texas’ best and toughest kitchens, Josh left the hotline, but you never really leave the Industry. Josh spent fifteen years in the distribution grind ranging from beverage, large scale and start up; picking up tools of the trade and best practices, while also losing some bad habits along the way. All the combined experience helped provide his unique understanding of what the industry expects, and we aim to deliver above those expectations.
